Throughout his 37 years of courtroom experience, Seattle injury attorney Michael Withey has taken on a number of important cases against corporate giants. Education

Mr. Withey received his B.A. in International Relations from Pomona College in 1968 and his J.D. from the University of San Francisco in 1971.

In addition to his legal education and experience, Mr. Withey in 2006 received the Champion of Justice Award from the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice. He has received a number of prestigious awards throughout his career. He was named Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association in 1990. He received the National Volunteer of the Year Award in 1992 from the American Lung Association.

Mr. Withey has received an AV rating, the highest rating given an attorney by Martindale-Hubbell for his extensive professional qualifications and high ethical standards. He was also named one of the Best Lawyers in America every year since 2000.

Outside Interests

Although Mr. Withey is busy during the day coming up with solutions to his client’s problems, in his spare time, he plays keyboard for two local jazz and samba bands, Thirsty Love and No Jive Five. He also enjoys taking vacations to the Yakima River or Methow Valley, where he is able to relax and do some fly fishing.
